In an effort to make your visit to this site more rewarding and practical, I'm offering this helpful household hint:
Take a moment to drill little indentions in the top of the doorframe around your closet. It's an inconspicuous location, so no one except giants or roving insects will ever see it, and you'll find hanging clothes there to be much more secure, whenever you need to adjust a button or weigh the merits of one oxford against another.
You may want to experiment with different-sized drill bits to get a snug fit for your particular hanger nub. 3/8" is a good starting point.
